Cornelius (LBI) taken to hospital after Canada training

Derek Cornelius incurred a non-contact injury during Canada training on Thursday and was taken to hospital. The injury was to the Marseille centre-back’s lower body. “Canada Soccer Men’s National Team defender Derek Cornelius sustained a non-contact lower body injury during training today in Toronto,” Canada Soccer said in a statement. “Derek was transported to a local hospital, where he is receiving medical care and undergoing further assessment.
