Greg Murphy A lucky Cork Lotto player is celebrating a potential life-changing windfall after scooping a jackpot of €5,664,896 in Wednesday night’s draw — and the winning ticket was bought at Mahon Point Shopping Centre.
The winning Quick Pick ticket was purchased at Eason on Tuesday, October 6, the National Lottery confirmed.
The mystery winner has become Ireland’s 25th National Lottery millionaire of 2026 and the sixth person from Cork to reach millionaire status through the lottery this year.
Eason store manager Eimear O’Donovan said the news had given the Mahon Point team another reason to celebrate.
“To hear that one of our customers is the winner of a Lotto jackpot worth over €5.6 million is just incredible,” she said.
