Cork community groups could get public liability insurance through IPB
Cork County Council is working with Irish Public Bodies (IPB) to extend public liability insurance to local community groups and residents' associations. Officials believe this coverage will encourage more community participation in local clean-up and maintenance activities.

Community groups, residents’ associations and men’s and women’s sheds in Cork could be offered public liability insurance through Irish Public Bodies (IPB), which provides similar cover to Cork County Council.
IPB has already provided public liability insurance to Tidy Towns groups and is “engaging positively” with the council about potentially extending the facility to other community-based organisations.
