The main reason to pick the Core Ultra 7 265 is its productivity potential. The processor’s 20-core, 20-thread configuration makes it a more appealing option for multi-core tasks, with benchmarks showing it can pip the AMD Ryzen 7 9700X in daily tasks. The deal price drops the 265 to $20 below the 9700X, too, although AMD’s CPU wins in gaming.
This processor is not to be confused with its Core Ultra 7 265K sibling (the best Intel CPU for gaming ). While the 265 non-K isn’t as powerful, it can still handle modern games and easily support current-generation GPUs. So if gaming is part of what you use your PC for, the deal can also deliver a solid platform for modern titles.
