COPEC Projects 5.21% Petrol and 22.91% Diesel Price Increases From October 1

The Chamber of Petroleum Consumers (COPEC) has projected that Ghanaians will pay more at the pump from Thursday, October 1, 2026, with petrol prices expected to rise by 5.21% and diesel by as much as 22.91%.
The projections were contained in a statement released on Tuesday, September 29, signed by COPEC Executive Secretary Duncan Amoah.

According to COPEC, the average retail price of petrol is expected to move from GH¢16.90 to GH¢17.78 per litre, while diesel could climb sharply from GH¢18.24 to GH¢22.42 per litre.
