The Coimbatore district unit of the Anti-Corruption Movement organised a seminar titled ‘Save the motherland from the corruption that wreaks havoc’ at the Dr. Usha Keerthilal Mehta Convention Centre on the Bharathiar University campus in Coimbatore on Saturday (September 12).
Minister for Backward Classes Welfare V. Sampath Kumar, who was the chief guest, said the annual programme had not previously featured a politician as a guest. He said the participation of a Minister in the programme reflected the stand of the TVK-led government on corruption. “The government has taken a firm stand against corruption and is taking stringent steps to curb it,” he said.
