Members of the Visakha District Building Construction Workers Union staged a protest at the Collectorate in the city on Thursday, demanding ₹10 lakh accident insurance for construction workers and adequate compensation for those who suffer disabilities in workplace accidents.
Addressing the protest, union district general secretary B. Srinivasa Rao sought new registrations and renewals under the Building Workers Welfare Board through both online and offline modes.
