A three-gram gold earring, found mixed with household waste by a conservancy worker, was returned to its owner in Coimbatore city on Saturday (September 5, 2026).
Seethalakshmi, a contract conservancy worker engaged in door-to-door waste collection, found the earring while collecting waste in Ranga Layout at Kavundampalayam (Ward 18) of the Corporation’s North Zone.
She informed Zonal Health Supervisor Sampath Kumar and Health Inspector Saranya about the find. Corporation officials made enquiries and identified the owner as Akila.
