Glasgow Warriors scored four maul tries as they defeated Connacht 36-19 in Scotstoun in round three of the United Rugby Championship.

The visitors took the lead early on courtesy of Ireland international Sean Jansen as he burrowed over after just 14 minutes, but it was one way traffic for the rest of the half.

First Glasgow hooker Gregor Hiddleston dotted down for the first maul try, before Rory Darge put the hosts in the lead shortly after the half hour mark.

In a patient first half, where a greasy ball hampered any real chance of game-breaking rugby, the next score would come on the stroke of the interval.

With Sam Illo sinbinned for a maul infringement, the Scottish club went back into the corner and powered over, with Hiddleston getting his second try of the night to give Glasgow a 19-7 half-time lead.
