Why it matters
This reflects the broader national political tension between the ruling BJP and the opposition regarding the integrity of national entrance examinations.
The Congress workers on Thursday staged a dharna at Ariyankuppam and near the Education Department seeking resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on NEET question paper leak issue.
Later addressing a press conference, former Chief Minister and Congress leader V. Narayanasamy said when UPA was in power, social activist Anna Hazare had launched an agitation against the Congress. The Bharatiya Janata Party was behind the Anna Hazare movement. However, the then UPA government held talks with the protesters.
