Congress to launch Bharat Jodo 2.0 in Shikaripur
The Indian National Congress is launching its 'Bharat Jodo 2.0' campaign in Shikaripur, the home constituency of Karnataka BJP president B.Y. Vijayendra. The party plans to conduct similar campaigns in all 84 assembly constituencies it lost in the previous election to promote its guarantee schemes.

The Congress has chosen Shikaripur, the constituency represented by Karnataka BJP president B.Y. Vijayendra, to launch its Bharat Jodo 2.O campaign on Wednesday.
Several senior party leaders, including KPCC president B.K. Hariprasad, will take part in the launch, which comprises a 10-km padayatra and a public meeting. The padayatra will begin at Kittadahalli and proceed to Shikaripur town via Maddi Note Cross, Hosanagara Cross and Nelavagilu Cross. The public meeting will be held at the market place.
School Education Minister Madhu Bangarappa visited Shikaripur on Monday and held a meeting with local party leaders. Speaking to reporters, Mr. Bangarappa, who is also the in-charge Minister for Shivamogga district, said the party had chosen Shikaripur to send a political message across the State. “We are committed to winning the seat in the next elections,” he said.
