Congress favours youth with clean image for local body polls
The Srikakulam District Congress Committee has announced a strategy to prioritize young candidates with clean reputations for upcoming local body elections. The party has appointed a new district team to revitalize its grassroots presence and better align with the aspirations of the younger generation.

Srikakulam District Congress Committee president Sanapala Annaji Rao on Thursday said that the party high command would give seats to youngsters with a clean image while selecting candidates to contest in the ensuing local body elections.
He said that PCC president Y.S. Sharmila Reddy had appointed a new team for the district with the aim of infusing young blood into the party.
He handed over the appointment letters to 27 members of the new team at a programme organised at Indira Vignan Bhavan.
Mr. Annaji urged the newly appointed vice-presidents, general secretaries, secretaries and other executive body members to conduct field studies and identify issues that affect the people ahead of the local body elections.
