Congress expresses support to agitating students’ over Jharkhand exam irregularities, says justice for them top priority

The Congress party has expressed support for students protesting against alleged irregularities in Jharkhand's public service examinations. A delegation met with the Chief Minister to discuss the formation of a committee to address the students' demands for reform.

As the protest against alleged examination irregularities in Jharkhand entered its 13th day on Wednesday (August 6, 2026), the Congress, which is in alliance with the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha-led government, said that the party “stands in support of the agitating student for justice in Ranchi”.
K. Raju, the All India Congress Committee in-charge for Jharkhand, in a post on X, said his party supports the students’ agitation against paper leaks in the State.
“Jharkhand IYC and NSUI leaders joined by National President, National Secretary to express total solidarity with students protesting JPSC & JSSC irregularities,” said Mr. Raju in a post.
A Congress delegation, led by Mr. Raju, met Chief Minister Hemant Soren and thanked him for constituting a Ministerial Committee to have a dialogue with the protesting students and formulate concrete solutions.
