Cong. protests FIRs against IYC workers in Gurugram
Congress party leaders in Gurugram protested against FIRs filed against youth wing workers who waved black flags at the Chief Minister. The party is demanding the withdrawal of these charges and an independent investigation into allegations of police misconduct during the arrests.

Led by Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee (HPCC) president Rao Narender Singh, party leaders and workers staged a demonstration in Gurugram against the FIRs registered against Indian Youth Congress (IYC) and NSUI workers and student leaders for allegedly waving black flags at Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini during his visit to the city on August 21.
Later, party leaders submitted a memorandum to the Gurugram Police Commissioner, demanding immediate, impartial and transparent action in the matter.
Mr. Singh demanded withdrawal of the FIRs registered against Youth Congress and NSUI workers, as well as the district presidents of Gurugram Rural and Gurugram Urban. He also called for an immediate end to the alleged harassment and intimidation of Congress workers and their families.
