Confirmed: Two Barcelona players in Germany squad for UEFA Nations League fixtures

The first international break of the 2026/27 is almost upon us and it promises to be an unusual one, with FIFA introducing a three-week window during which national teams will play four games in a row.
For the European nations, those fixtures come in the UEFA Nations League, and new Germany head coach Jurgen Klopp has responded in equally unusual fashion by naming a total of 44 players.
Indeed, Klopp has divided his squad into two separate groups. One will cover the first two matches, while the second will be responsible for the following two fixtures.
And, from Barcelona 's perspective, their in-form forward Karim Adeyemi and loanee Marc-Andre ter Stegen, currently at AFC Ajax, have been called up by the new Germany head coach, however not in the same list.
Ter Stegen has been included in the first squad, while Adeyemi appears in the second.
