As the need for geriatric care continues to grow, building capability, collaboration and continuum of care will be critical to meeting the healthcare needs of elderly population, said Lakshmipathy Ramesh, founder and managing director, Geri Care Health Services, in Coimbatore recently.
A two-day geriatrics conclave and the third edition of Asia Pacific Geriatric Oncology Society (AGOS) held in Coimbatore last month by Geri Care Foundation and the Indian Academy of Geriatrics brought together over 200 clinicians, including geriatricians, oncologists, physicians, and postgraduate students from India and abroad to discuss emerging trends, challenges and best practices in geriatrics and geriatric oncology.
