KUALA LUMPUR: Putrajaya’s offer to pay compensation to Semantan Estate (1952) Sdn Bhd without an assessment exercise remains on the table, although the company has yet to respond, says a senior federal counsel.

“We do not know whether they are accepting or rejecting the offer as their lawyers have not reverted to us,” senior federal counsel Nurhafizza Azizan told reporters after proceedings at the High Court here today.

Putrajaya made the offer on Aug 14 in an attempt to resolve the long-running dispute over compensation for the 106ha parcel of land known as the Duta Enclave. The terms and value of the offer have not been disclosed.
