Comparative analysis of Quasi-symmetric and staggered inner-milling strategies under different toolpath patterns for deformation control of Al 7075-T651 thin-walled plates
This study evaluates four machining strategies for thin-walled Al 7075-T651 plates to minimize deformation during manufacturing. The quasi-symmetric staggered strategy was found to provide the best balance between deformation control and machining time.
Why it matters
Optimizing machining sequences is essential for precision aerospace manufacturing where material deformation can lead to costly component failures.
