Como have extended the contract of their forward Roberta Picchi after she was diagnosed with breast cancer.
The Italian club, who will make their women's Serie A debut this season, said they extended Picchi's contract until the end of the 2027-28 season as part of their "continued commitment" to the player.
The 34-year-old Italian is set to begin cancer treatment and will be supported by Como's medical team, who will work with the specialists overseeing her care.
"Everyone at Como 1907 is alongside Roberta and will give her and her family all the support they need during the months ahead," the club said in a statement.
