The speedy restoration of Krishna Nagar Main Road has become more important now as the stretch has become the preferred route for many motorists following the traffic restrictions imposed at Kokkupark junction.
The entire Krishna Nagar Main Road was dug up to lay electric cables a few months ago. The cable laying works were completed a month ago but the road is yet to be restored to its original condition hampering vehicle movement along the stretch.
Following the barricading at Kokkupark junction, people residing in Lawspet and adjoining residential areas along the East Coast Road now prefer to use the Krishna Nagar Main Road and the narrow road through Chinniyanpet for commuting to the town.
