Fin Graham couldn't kid anyone. He didn't come for silver on Sunday.
The Scottish Para-cyclist upgraded Friday's bronze from the men's C1-C3 1000m time trial final, but he was going for gold in the C1-C3 3km individual pursuit final.
However, he was stood a step down from England's Matthew Robertson when Jerusalem bellowed round the velodrome, as he was denied what he called a "once in a lifetime" experience.
The 26-year-old was desperate to hear Flower of Scotland on home soil. Even more so given he felt a tang of injustice with the running of this race.
"I'd be lying if I said gold wasn't what I wanted," Graham told BBC Sport Scotland, after he was presented his second medal of these Games.
