Why it matters
Cancer is a growing global health burden, and this report provides a strategic economic argument for governments to prioritize healthcare infrastructure.
The Lancet Oncology Commission report on Cancer in the Commonwealth was launched at the 2026 Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) in Antigua, during the side event ‘Cancer Control and Health Systems Strengthening in the Commonwealth’.
