The government announced on August 31 its intention to end funding for the program on June 30, 2027.
At the same time, it announced that $46.5 million over five years (2027-28 to 2031-32) would go to further expanding the McGrath Foundation Cancer Care Nurse service to include prostate cancer nurses from July 1, 2027.
