Commissioner orders to complete fire safety audit survey of commercial buildings

KARACHI - Commissioner Karachi Syed Hassan Naqvi has directed Deputy Commissioners, the Provincial Disaster Management Authority, fire-fighting agencies and other relevant departments to make coordinated efforts to complete the ongoing fire safety audit survey at the earliest.
He was presiding over a meeting of Deputy Commissioners and relevant officers at his office, said a spokesperson on Thursday. The meeting reviewed arrangements for ensuring compliance with fire safety laws in commercial buildings and discussed various measures to ensure that buildings lacking fire prevention and safety arrangements are required to take the necessary steps.
