Comic Con India to make Andhra Pradesh debut in Vizag
Comic Con India is expanding to Visakhapatnam for the first time, marking the start of its 2026-27 season. The event aims to bring pop culture experiences to tier-2 cities, reflecting a growing interest in anime and fandom beyond major metros.

Comic Con India will make its Andhra Pradesh debut in Visakhapatnam on October 10 and 11, marking the start of its 2026-27 season. The event will be held at the Kalam Convention Centre on the AMTZ campus.
The event will feature international guests, cosplay showcases, interactive panel sessions, live music, stand-up comedy, exclusive launches and fan zones. The season will subsequently travel to other cities across the country.
Comic Con India has expanded to metropolitan and tier-2 cities since its acquisition by NODWIN Gaming, with the aim of making pop culture experiences more accessible to fans across India.
Shefali Johnson, CEO of Comic Con India, said Visakhapatnam’s association with Telugu cinema is being complemented by growing interest in anime, cosplay and student communities.
“Visakhapatnam has a strong connection with Telugu cinema, but its fandom culture is now expanding beyond films,” she said.
