Come clean on detailed terms for Najib's conditional house arrest, Rafizi urges Anwar, Pakatan leaders

PETALING JAYA: Datuk Seri Rafizi Ramli has urged Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and Pakatan Harapan leaders to provide a full explanation regarding the house arrest granted to former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak, rather than dismissing the matter as beyond their control.
In a social media post Friday (Sept 18), he said this was not a matter of politics, but a debt that Anwar and Pakatan owed to the people regarding 1MDB.
“This is particularly to the unnamed individuals who took great risks in carrying out their daily duties until the 1MDB issue became public knowledge,” said the Parti Bersama Malaysia (Bersama) chief.
“Anwar gained massive political benefit from the 1MDB issue. Aside from speeches in Parliament written by speechwriters, he was not at the forefront of dissecting the 1MDB scandal but in prison.
