'Come Back and Check': Kalua Green, Prince Albert II deepen climate partnership

Nairobi – Kenyan environmentalist Dr Isaac Kalua Green has challenged governments, corporations, and climate campaigns to move beyond merely counting trees planted and instead measure their actual survival rates.
Green, Chief Steward of the Green Africa Foundation, made this call after presenting his new book, Come Back and Check , to Prince Albert II of Monaco at the Prince’s Palace.
The meeting also served to renew a two-decade partnership between the Green Africa Foundation and the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation. Both organisations will explore broader cooperation on climate action, conservation, biodiversity, and community livelihoods across Africa.
Green explained that his new book’s central argument is straightforward: tree planting is only the initial step, and climate claims must be substantiated by evidence of survival.
