Columnist calls on Israel coach Ben Shimon to resign
Following a 0-3 loss to Ireland, a columnist has called for the resignation of Israel's national football team coach, Ran Ben Shimon. The team has struggled with poor performance and tactical errors during the Nations League.

--> After Israel’s national team lost 0-3 to Ireland, Jerusalem Post author Joshua Halickman called on the team’s head coach, Ran Ben Shimon, to resign. In his view, if the coach does not leave the post himself, such a decision should be made by Israel Football Association chairman Shino Zuaretz.

National team captain Eli Dasa called the game a huge disappointment and the most painful match of his 80 appearances for the national team. At the same time, he placed responsibility for the poor performance on the footballers, saying that the staff had prepared a good match plan, but the team failed to implement it.
