A senior official of the Avadi Police Commissionerate said the deceased Lokesh was a resident of Ponneri and was a student at the CPCL private polytechnic college in Manali. On Saturday, Lokesh was returning home from the college on the Kosasthalai river bridge at Nappalayam near Manali when a speeding truck knocked him down and sped away.
