JOHANNESBURG - Residents in parts of KwaZulu-Natal have been warned to prepare for a cold and windy weekend.
This is as strong winds and isolated showers and rain are expected to sweep across the province.
The South African Weather Service (SAWS) has issued a Yellow Level 2 warning for damaging winds from Friday.

The warning, according to SAWS, follows the passage of a cold front, accompanied by a ridging high-pressure system.
" Winds are expected to reach around 40km/h, with gusts of up to 80km/h," the SAWS said.
