Coimbatore’s Radio Room pairs benne dosas with classic cocktails

Radio Room in Coimbatore is hosting a food festival featuring unique 'benne dosa tacos' paired with signature cocktails. The restaurant aims to celebrate South Indian cuisine by blending traditional flavors with a contemporary, upscale bar experience.
Why it matters
This reflects the evolving dining culture in Tier-2 Indian cities, where traditional regional food is being reimagined for modern, experiential hospitality.
A golden-brown dosa sits pretty on the table at Radio Room Restobar. The butter-soaked, crisp exterior gives way to a soft and spongy inside stuffed with fiery, slow-cooked mutton sukka and makes for satisfying bites. More benne dosa tacos arrive with a variety of signature dishes in the form of fillings: there is spicy Mangalorean-style ghee roast chicken, juicy prawn thokku and spicy Kakinada paneer with buttery malai paneer, and mashed avocado.
