Coimbatore district recorded an average rainfall of 24.15 mm across 23 stations during the 24-hour period ending at 8.30 a.m. on Tuesday (August 25, 2026), with Chinnakalar in Valparai recording the highest rainfall of 101 mm.
Meanwhile, Siruvani recorded 30 mm of rain at Adivaram and 26 mm at the Siruvani Dam on Tuesday. The Siruvani Dam water depth was 27.35 feet, against the permitted full reservoir level (FRL) of 44.61 feet.
Valparai taluk recorded heavy rainfall at several locations. Chinnakalar received the highest rainfall in the district at 101 mm, followed by Cincona and Sholayar with 68 mm each and Valparai PAP with 67 mm. The Valparai taluk station recorded 63 mm.
