The Coimbatore district police destroyed 1,934 liquor bottles seized by the Perur Prohibition Enforcement Wing (PEW) in 195 cases registered for illegal liquor sales, after obtaining court orders.
The destruction was carried out by PEW Deputy Superintendent of Police Thangam in the presence of Divisional Excise Officer Mohan Babu and Excise Tahsildar Alamelu Mangai, following the prescribed procedures.
