The Chief Judicial Magistrate Court in Coimbatore, which is the Special Court for CBI cases, on Friday sentenced two government school teachers to three-and-a-half years of imprisonment for cheating State Bank of India (SBI) by obtaining loans using forged documents.

Chief Judicial Magistrate K. Sivakumar awarded the punishment, along with a fine of ₹1 lakh each, to T. Vinothkumar (42) of Pappanur village in Pochampalli taluk in Krishnagiri district and M. Nithilan (40) of K. Morur in Salem district.
