Volunteers of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), who were conducting safety and infrastructure checks at government schools as part of the nationwide ‘School Thik Karo’ (Fix the Schools) campaign, have alleged that they were prevented from entering several schools in Hyderabad and parts of Telangana.
The organisation alleged that a coordinated administrative effort was being used to prevent citizens from examining the condition of public schools and raising concerns over safety and infrastructure. CJP said volunteers were barred from conducting social audits at government schools in Armoor, Trimulgherry, Moula Ali, Malkajgiri, Secunderabad and Siddipet.
The schools named by CJP are the ZPHS Girls High School in Armoor, GGHS Picket Government School in Trimulgherry, Government High School in Moula Ali, Government Boys High School and Government Girls High School in Malkajgiri, Seth Banwarilal Government School in Secunderabad and ZPHS Ramancha in Siddipet.
