Cochin Shipyard launches seventh anti-submarine warfare vessel for Indian Navy
Cochin Shipyard Limited has launched the 'Machilipatnam', the seventh in a series of eight anti-submarine warfare vessels for the Indian Navy. The vessel is designed for coastal surveillance and low-intensity maritime operations.

Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL) on Wednesday launched Machilipatnam , the seventh anti-submarine warfare (ASW) vessel in a series of eight being built for the Indian Navy.
The ship was launched by Goolrukh Anand in the presence of Vice Admiral Atul Anand.
The vessel is 78.0 metres long and 11.36 metres wide with a draught of 2.7 metres. The displacement is about 900 tonnes, with a maximum speed of 25 knots and an endurance of 1,800 nautical miles, according to an official communication.
