NEW DELHI: A seafarer was airlifted to safety off the Gujarat coast after the Indian Coast Guard carried out a difficult medical evacuation despite rough seas and adverse weather.In a post on X, Indian Coast Guard said that it “successfully executed a MEDEVAC of a 21-year-old seafarer from MT Murlikisan off Porbandar on 26 July 2026. With a swift response from MRCC Mumbai, CGDHQ-1 Porbandar swung into action, providing immediate telemedical assistance while deploying surface and air assets.
