The Coal City Film Festival,CCFF, in partnership with GIZ under the Skills Development for Youth Employment (SKYE II) programme, has concluded a 3-day strategic engagement focused on increasing female employment and technical skills in Enugu State’s creative economy.

The initiative gathered government agencies, industry leaders, cultural bodies, development partners, and creative professionals to develop practical solutions for getting more women into technical filmmaking roles.

The engagement kicked off with a Senior Stakeholders Validation Forum attended by over 50 participants from public and private sectors.

Participants reviewed the Employment and Labour Market Assessment ,ELMA, report and discussed barriers preventing women from taking up technical roles in film and creative industries.

A major outcome was a collective pledge to strengthen gender inclusion policies, improve workplace safety, and create more opportunities for women across the creative value chain.
