Co-optex commences Deepavali special discount sale
District Collector Anand Mohan inaugurated Co-optex's Deepavali special discount sale in Tirunelveli, setting a sales target of ₹11 crore for the region this year, up from ₹9 crore last year. He urged public support for Co-optex to back weavers and encouraged participation in their savings scheme.
Why it matters
This annual discount sale provides significant economic support to local weavers and offers quality products to the public, contributing to the local economy and cultural celebration during the Deepavali festival.
District Collector Anand Mohan inaugurated the Deepavali special discount sale of Co-optex at its Gandhimathi Showroom in Tirunelveli Junction on Friday night.
Mr. Anand Mohan said the Tirunelveli Region of Co-optex, which transacted business through its 13 showrooms to the tune of ₹9 crore during Deepavali discount sale last year, had been set a target of ₹11 crore this year and the sales target for the three showrooms in Tirunelveli district was ₹4 crore.
“Hence, the public should overwhelmingly support Co-optex, which backs the weavers supplying quality products to the customers,” said Mr. Anand Mohan, who purchased materials worth ₹2,345.
