CMC to organise conference on gene therapy in Vellore

Christian Medical College in Vellore is hosting the 11th International Cell and Gene Therapy Conference from October 8 to 10. The event aims to foster collaboration between scientists, clinicians, and industry regulators regarding advancements in treating various complex disorders.

The 11th International Cell and Gene Therapy Conference (CGTCON 2026) will be held at Christian Medical College (CMC) in Vellore town on October 8.
According to a press release, the conference, including a workshop, will be organised by the Centre for Stem Cell Research, a collaborative unit of BRIC-Institute for Stem Cell Science and Regenerative Medicine (inStem), Bengaluru, and the CMC.
This year’s conference, which will end on October 10, will showcase developments in fields of major diseases, such as haematological, ocular, diabetic and metabolic, neurological, cardiovascular, and dermatological disorders. It will also cover organoids and disease modelling, nucleic acid delivery technologies, and the industry, manufacturing, and regulatory aspects of advanced therapeutics.
