CM Trophy sports competitions inaugurated in Tiruchi

The Chief Minister’s Trophy district-level sports competitions, organized by the Tamil Nadu Sports Development Authority, have commenced in Tiruchi at Anna Stadium. District Collector Pratik Tayal inaugurated the events, which will run until September 27 and feature over 11 lakh participants across five categories, including school students, college students, and persons with disabilities.

The district-level sports competitions for the Chief Minister’s Trophy, organised on behalf of the Tamil Nadu Sports Development Authority, commenced at the Anna Stadium in Tiruchi on Tuesday. District Collector Pratik Tayal inaugurated the competitions.
The competitions will be conducted from September 9 to 27 across various venues in the district. A total of 11,98,38 participants have registered for the competitions through the online portal.
The competitions are being held in five categories — school students, college students, the general public, persons with disabilities and government employees.
The events include athletics, kabaddi, badminton, volleyball, silambam, chess, cricket, basketball, handball, football, swimming, table tennis, kho-kho, ball badminton, special handball, wheelchair table tennis, throwball, yoga and speed skating.
