YSRCP leader and Vizianagaram Zilla Parishad chairperson Majji Srinivasa Rao on Wednesday said that Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s vision, developmental activities in the State and the ruling party’s special focus on North Andhra prompted him to join The Telugu Desam Party.

He tendered resignation to YSRCP Vizianagaram District president and Bhimili in-charge posts on Tuesday, ahead of the local body elections in the State.

Addressing the mediapersons in Vizianagaram on Wednesday, Mr. Rao clarified that he had no differences with his uncle and YSRCP senior leader Botcha Satyanarayana.

He claimed that he had joined TDP without any conditions while hoping that his joining would further strengthen the party in the district where NDA won all Assembly seats in 2024 elections.
