Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar said the Congress government is committed to comprehensive development of Chamarajanagar district by empowering its people economically, educationally and socially.
Speaking after launching developmental works for Kollegal and Hanur Assembly constituencies at a function held at Kollegal on Wednesday, Mr. Shivakumar said the entire government stands with the people of Chamarajanagar district.
Recalling that a Cabinet meeting held under the leadership of former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah had sanctioned works worth ₹3,000 crore for the district, putting it on the path of progress, Mr. Shivakumar said the “Guarantee government” he was leading had formulated several programmes and laid the foundation stone for various works.
