Cloudy skies, rains to persist over Luzon, Visayas due to habagat
The Philippine weather bureau PAGASA has issued heavy rainfall warnings for parts of Luzon and Visayas due to the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat). Authorities are also monitoring a low-pressure area that may develop into a tropical depression.

In its 5 a.m. weather forecast, PAGASA said the western section of Luzon is expected to be most affected, particularly the Ilocos Region, Bataan, Zambales, parts of Central Luzon, Metro Manila, Calabarzon, and Mindoro provinces.
Meanwhile, the state weather bureau is also monitoring a low pressure area (LPA) located about 720 kilometers east of Itbayat, Batanes, which has a medium chance of developing into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours.
