An elaborate cleanliness drive was carried out along the Outer Ring Road in Mysuru on Saturday ahead of the start of Dasara festivities.
The cleanliness drive, the second in the last ten days, taken up jointly by Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) and the neighbouring urban local bodies, saw the clearance of garbage, plastic waste, construction and demolition debris, and other discarded materials accumulated along the sides of the Ring Road.
The drive was launched at 6.30 a.m. on Saturday under the leadership of MCC Commissioner M.K. Savitha in accordance with the directions issued by Minister in-charge of Mysuru District Yathindra Siddaramaiah while reviewing the preparations for Dasara festival, scheduled to start from Sunday.
