Clean-up of Ooty Race Course carried out
A clean-up drive was conducted at the Ooty Race Course on World Nature Conservation Day by various organizations to highlight the embattled wetland and ongoing development without proper clearances. Volunteers also aimed to raise awareness about illegal dumping, the area being used by tipplers, and new waste management rules. The Udhagamandalam Municipality assisted in the operations.

A clean-up of the Ooty Race Course was conducted on Monday by various organisations to mark World Nature Conservation Day as well as to bring attention to the embattled wetland which is being developed by the State Horticulture Department.
Volunteers from the Confederation of Environment Associations of Nilgiris (CEAN), Kotagiri Citizens Welfare Association (KCWA), Citizens Forum of Ootacamund as well as other organisations participated in the event.
