Class 10 score 54%, maths 41; three years later he cracked JEE Advanced
A student who scored 54% in Class 10 exams overcame academic setbacks to secure a seat at IIT Bombay three years later. He achieved this by changing his study habits and maintaining a disciplined schedule.
Why it matters
The story serves as an inspirational case study on academic resilience and the effectiveness of changing study methodologies.
A 54% score in Class 10, including just 41 marks in Mathematics and 48 in Science, became a difficult chapter for Jainendrajeet. He had also spent nearly 40 to 50 days on bed rest before his board exams because of health issues, leaving him with little time to prepare. When the result appeared on the screen, he said he simply froze.Several of his classmates had scored above 90%, making his result harder to accept. He also faced criticism and trolling over his marks. But instead of treating the result as a verdict on his ability, Jainendrajeet decided to change the way he studied. Three years later, he scored 99.98 percentile in JEE Main 2023 and secured All India Rank 349 in JEE Advanced in the Open category.
