CJP to take up issue of ECI reforms as CEC Gyanesh Kumar faces flak

The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), which has been running campaigns on issues like school infrastructure and tribal education , on Wednesday (September 23, 2026) said such efforts would not bring any change if people's right to vote were compromised, calling the protection of elections the key to addressing other problems facing the country.

CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke indicated that the outfit will take up the issue of reforms in the Election Commission as a major row erupted after differences in the Election Commission with two election commissioners repeatedly dissenting over the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls spilled into the open on Wednesday.
