CJP protest: Trains to two Delhi stations cancelled from 4 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Oct. 10

The Ministry of Railways has cancelled several trains arriving in Delhi on October 10, 2026, due to anticipated traffic congestion from a protest by the Cockroach Janta Party. Delhi Police have denied protest permissions and requested the closure of 57 metro stations to prevent potential unrest.
Why it matters
The disruption of major transport infrastructure underscores the significant impact of political protests on public mobility and urban administration in the capital.
All Mail and Express trains scheduled to arrive at New Delhi and Nizamuddin Railway stations in the national capital between 4 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Saturday (October 10, 2026) have been cancelled “in view of anticipated severe road traffic congestion” in the areas, the Ministry of Railways said.
