NEW DELHI: Ratna Singh, legal affairs head of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), has moved a Delhi court seeking registration of an FIR against police personnel. She has filed it alleging that police personnel confined her and prevented her from joining a lawyers’ protest against chief election commissioner Gyanesh Kumar over the conduct of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR). In her application filed on Saturday, Singh also sought a status report from the police on the alleged incident.Singh filed the application before chief metropolitan magistrate Abhinav Pandey at Saket district court. She has sought directions for registration of an FIR against the police personnel allegedly involved. She has also asked the court to call for a status report from the concerned authorities.According to the application, Singh is a practising advocate.
